📖 How to play Non-Consecutive Sudoku

1. The sudoku rules apply: 1 through 9 with no repeats in each row, column, and 3x3 box.
2. In addition, two squares that touch on a side (up, down, left, or right) can't be consecutive: for example, a 4 can't have a 3 or a 5 next to it.
3. Tap an empty square and choose the number. Each puzzle has a unique solution.

💡 Tip: when you place a number, its orthogonal neighbors lose two candidates (the one before and the one after); use this to rule out options quickly.

✏️ Notes mode: press the ✏️ button on the keypad (or the N key) to jot down candidates in the empty cells.
