📖 How to play Hitori

1. The goal is to black out some squares so that, among the white squares that remain, no number repeats in the same row or column.
2. Two blacked-out squares can't touch horizontally or vertically (diagonal touching is fine).
3. All the white squares must stay connected to each other, forming a single piece.
4. Tap a square to black it out or restore it to white. Each puzzle has a unique solution.

💡 Tip: if a number appears three times in a row, the middle one usually stays white and the other two get blacked out; and since two blacked-out squares can't touch, that often fixes their neighbors as white.
